FBI Investigating Judge Who Sent Rapper Meek Mill to Prison....

The FBI has launched an investigation into the relationship between a rival Philadelphia music executive and the judge who sent rapper Meek Mill to prison for violating his probation. Last Monday, Judge Genece Brinkley sentenced Mill to 2-4 years in prison following 2 arrests this year on misdemeanor charges. Both charges were dropped but Brinkley said the arrests violated the terms of his probation. The Philadelphia FBI field office is reportedly investigating Brinkley’s relationship with local music executive, Charlie Mack, who allegedly asked Mill to sign with him. The FBI wants to know if Brinkley, 61, used her power and influence as a judge to facilitate business deals for Mack. A source tells the NY Post Mack had previously told Meek how he “knows the judge and he could help him with his case.” The Daily Mail Online reports undercover FBI agents were in the courtroom when Judge Brinkley sent Mill to prison. After she sentenced Mill to prison, she reportedly said, “I’ll be done with you.” According to Mill’s attorney Joe Pacopina, Brinkley met with Mill, 30, and his ex-girlfriend Nicki Minaj, 34, in her judge’s chambers and asked him to record a Boyz II Men song and give her a shout out on the track. When Mill laughed off her bizarre request, she allegedly replied, “suit yourself.” Brinkley also allegedly asked the troubled rapper to leave his current management company — Roc Nation — and sign with Mack. A rep for the FBI’s Philadelphia field office refused to confirm or deny the reports. “Per Justice Department policy, we neither confirm nor deny the existence of investigations.” A petition calling for Pennsylvania Governor Tom Wolf to pardon Mill has collected over 300,000 signatures. But the governor’s office said his hands are tied by local law. In February 2016 Brinkley sentenced the rapper to 90 days of house arrest over another violation stemming from his 2008 arrest on drugs and gun charges. He was also ordered to perform daily community service and was placed on parole for a further six years for a total of 10 years. Mill is serving out his sentence at the state prison at Camp Hill, near Harrisburg, Pa., where he is known simply as inmate # ND8400.

They were pretty affectionate and were together the entire night." The next night the maybe-couple was photographed again in the seat of an SUV as they left Hyde nightclub. Selena and Justin rekindled their longtime romance after Sel called off her 10-month relationship with The Weeknd. And it seems like The Weeknd had to find someone to rebound with, and quickly— especially since his ex-girlfriend Bella Hadid has been rejecting him. Sources exclusively revealed to Life & Style that The Weeknd wants Bella back and he's been texting her and sending her flowers, but Bella "isn’t having any of it," insiders said.

Meek Mill Heads to Prison to Start His Sentence Despite Public Outcry

Meek Mill is inmate ND8400 at state prison in Camp Hill, but how he ended up there is the source of much debate. His supporters see the man behind the musician, a 30 year old suffering from an opioid addiction and being made an example of by a Philadelphia judge. He popped some wheelies on his dirt bike, traveled outside of Pennsylvania for shows and got into an altercation with a St. Louis airport employee who was taking his photo. That unfairly yielded 2 to 4 years in prison, according to more than 250,000 people who've signed a petition asking Pennsylvania Gov. Tom Wolf for help. Dozens of celebrities have also expressed support for Mills and slammed the racial disparities in the criminal justice system. Common Pleas Court Judge Genece Brinkley is part of that system. She sees a man who has been in an out of her courtroom for a decade, defying her 10-year probation order. "I gave you break after break, and you basically just thumbed your nose at this court," she said during sentencing Monday. She sees the man known legally as Robert Rihmeek William, who was on probation since a 2008 conviction for dealing drugs and gun possession. He's the Philly rapper with a national audience, who was arrested twice this year: March. He was charged with a misdemeanor for an altercation with a St. Louis airport employee who was trying to take his photo August. He was charged with reckless driving while filming a music video and illegally riding his dirt bike in Manhattan. Charges were dropped in the first case and Mills took a dismissal deal in the second, according to the New York Times. 'Enamored' judge Brinkley is a focal point in the case, partially because critics disagree with her sentence and partially because Mill's attorney has made her one. One of Mill's attorneys, Joe Tacopina, told the New York Times that Brinkley has acted inappropriately during the case, including giving advice on who should be his manager. The judge has also been vindictive, he said. Tacopina said Brinkley asked Mills to do a remake of Boyz II Men's "On Bended Knee" and mention her name, according to Philly.com. Mill laughed it off, the attorney told Philly.com, ultimately telling the judge, "I can't do that. It's not my music. I don't sing that stuff. And I don't do, like, you know, shout-outs to people in my songs." Brinkley responded with, "OK, suit yourself," Tacopina said. He told CNN Brinkley's behavior was "a little stalkerish," claiming last year she showed up at Mill's "community service for the homeless" and "watched him do community service." The judge hasn't responded to the allegations. The Philadelphia court system spokesman, Gabriel Roberts, on Wednesday issued a short statement: "Because this matter is subject to future litigation, there will be no comment at this time." Tacopina said on CNN he will appeal the sentence issued by Brinkley, who has "exhibited enormous bias" and is "enamored" with Mill and takes "a personal interest in the case." 'I'm asking for mercy' The New York City lawyer describes his client as "frustrated." "He's being treated different than anyone else," Tacopina said on CNN Thursday. "If his name was John Smith, he wouldn't be in jail and he certainly wouldn't be on probation. He's been on probation for nearly 10 years. Nobody goes on probation for 10 years." Mill initially had a five-year probation. Brinkley extended it after after additional violations. The rapper was previously sent to prison in July 2014 for parole violations related to performing out of state without permission. Brinkley ordered Mill to take etiquette classes. Mill told Billboard magazine he spent most of that prison stay in solitary confinement. He spoke briefly in court this week before sentencing. "I'm human. I'm not perfect," Mill said, according to a report from Philly.com. "I'm asking for mercy. You gave me the ladder to do what I have to do to prevail in my struggle. I made it this far, I can't really go back and start over." That's when Brinkley said, "I gave you break after break, and you basically just thumbed your nose at this court." Brinkley issued the 2 to 4 year sentence, going against the recommendation of the prosecution. Both the district attorney and Mill's probation officer recommended "no incarceration." Seeking help from Gov. Wolf Celebrities and supporters on Monday joined a chorus of people admonishing Brinkley for her sentence. "The sentence handed down by the Judge -- against the recommendation of the Assistant District Attorney and Probation Officer -- is unjust and heavy handed," rapper Jay-Z posted on Facebook Monday. "We will always stand by and support Meek Mill, both as he attempts to right this wrongful sentence and then in returning to his musical career." Comedian and actor Kevin Hart shared this: "Praying for my brother @meekmill right now. God sometimes puts the toughest battles on his strongest soldiers. I'm here for you man!!!! My brother for life...Always here for you man!!! This storm will pass...Stay strong & keep your head up" A petition for Mill's release started almost immediately. It's called "Somebody Save Meek Mill" and it had more than 257,000 signatures as of early Saturday morning. The thousands of signers are asking Gov. Tom Wolf, Lt. Gov. Mike Stack and the Pennsylvania Board of Pardons for help. The petition says: "We humbly ask for the Pennsylvania Board of Pardons to grant relief in his sentence and call on Governor Tom Wolf to closely look into this matter and address why Meek, and thousands of other young, black men throughout the state are unnecessarily incarcerated for minor parole and probation violations."

NICKI MINAJ ADDRESSES THE ‘CONSPIRACY THEORIES’ ABOUT CARDI B AND ‘MOTOR SPORT’

Nicki Minaj and Cardi B linked up for their first collaboration last week, with Migos’s “Motor Sport,” and it only took about 60 seconds before conspiracy theories started spreading like wildfire. Some fans and outlets have claimed that the two rappers didn’t know the other would be on the track, and others have even suggested that they were taking shots at each other with their respective verses. Nicki’s apparently fed up with all that talk, so she hopped on Twitter on Tuesday night (October 31) to set the record straight. “I was on the song w/Quavo. No one else was on it,” she began in a series of tweets. “He called & asked if I think we should put Bardi on it, I said ‘ok let’s do it.’ The end. Migos weren’t even on it yet. Just Quavo. The conspiracy theories r just so tired. Relax. Breathe.” Nicki went on to clarify that any published music has to get her written approval before being sent to streaming services. With that in mind, Nicki and Cardi would’ve both heard the track and spoken up if they had a problem with it. She continued, “These are men in our culture who simply refuse to let it go. They don’t do this to male M.C.’s. But yo #Motorsport #1 added on urban radio🙏🏽.” The “it” in question is the fabricated beef between Nicki and Cardi, which people have been talking about ever since “Bodak Yellow” started climbing the charts, despite both rappers publicly showing support for one another. In fact, Nicki capped off her series of tweets by reiterating Cardi’s thoughts on the issue from a recent interview: “We could make out & it wouldn’t be enough. I’m done.”

Best Buy Stops Selling Overpriced iPhone X Models After People Complain

You don’t want to spend $100 more to pay upfront for the latest iPhone models? Fine, we wont sell you the iPhone. How about them apples? That’s essentially the stance Best Buy has taken in the wake of consumer backlash from news that the company was charging consumers more to buy the phone upfront instead of through an installment plan. Bloomberg first reported earlier today that the company has decided to only sell the iPhone X and iPhone 8 with installment plans. When Best Buy began offering pre-order of the iPhone X last week, it was asking $100 more for customers who didn’t want installment debt. The Apple store allowed customers to buy the phone upfront without paying the extra $100. The iPhone X with 64GB on the Apple store or through the Best Buy installment plan cost $999. However, to buy that same phone upfront at Best Buy, it cost $1,099. For the iPhone X 265 GB, the price difference was $1,149 and $1,249.   Best Buy has also been selling the iPhone 8 and iPhone 8 plus for $100 more than its normal retail price, for those who paid for it all at once. The day the iPhone X was made available for pre-order, a Best Buy spokesperson explained the company charged more for upfront pricing because “Flexibility has a cost.” “Sometimes customers aren’t able to purchase phones at other locations because their desired plan or carrier makes them ineligible,” the spokesperson told Gizmodo. “That’s not the case at Best Buy, as our prices reflect the fact that no matter their desired plan or carrier, or whether a customer is on a business or personal plan, they are able to get a phone the way they want at Best Buy.” That explanation for the pricing wasn’t enough to keep customers from complaining, and now Best Buy has decided to only sell the phone to customers who will pay for the device with a monthly installment plan. Best Buy did not immediately respond to a request for comment on its decision to no longer provide upfront sales of the iPhone 8 and iPhone X, but a spokesperson told Bloomberg: “Although there was clearly demand for the un-activated iPhone X, selling it that way cost more money, causing some confusion with our customers and noise in the media... That’s why we decided a few days ago to only sell the phone the traditional way, through installment billing plans.” That is a slightly more frank explanation of the pricing difference: Best Buy gets paid by carriers when the company sells phones that are set up through those carriers. If customers buy the phones upfront without a carrier attached, then Best Buy misses out on that money from the carriers.

Damn! Omarion Performed for a Nearly Empty Show

After garnering success in 2014 with his hit "Post To Be", Omarion has had issues getting a release for his fifth album, Reasons. Apparently, he's also having trouble getting fans out to his shows. During a recent show in Namibia, South Africa, Omarion performed for a nearly empty venue. Why? Well, a number of reports said that Omarion was scheduled to appear at a press conference, but did not show up. His manager ultimately called and said the singer couldn't make it, citing "exhaustion" after a lengthy flight. Omarion showed up in Namibia, REFUSED TO SHOW UP AT A PRESS CONF. AND Namibians paid him back in kind by not showing up to his concert Phil Mphela, a South African entertainer, called the boycott an example of the "Namibian press, influencers & people" teaching Omarion "a lesson. DONT DISRESPECT US!!" Despite how it looked, Omarion posted a video from the event... and it looked like he had enough fans that a few ladies rocked with him on stage. As long as you had a good time.

Cable Networks In Bidding War Over Who Will Air Cardi B And Offset’s Wedding!

TV weddings have guaranteed high ratings for networks everywhere. From Kim and Khloe Kardashian’s elaborate wedding specials to their now exes to the most recently talked about all-white knot-tying ceremony of Keyshia Ka’oir to Gucci Mane — Viewers tuned in making massive numbers. Now that the new hip-hop royalty couple, Cardi B and Offset, have announced their plans to marry — BET and VH1 are in competition to make a deal with them. Cardi B started out as a social media star who went from making popular videos on Instagram to completing two seasons of “Love and Hip Hop: New York.” After leaving the show, she went on to sign a record deal and top charts with “Bodak Yellow.” Offset, on the other hand, doesn’t have a TV background at all. The member of number one rap group Migos is currently busy with preparing for the release of their new album, that features Cardi B, titled “Culture 2.” When the “Bad and Boujee” musician proposed in front of thousands at Powerhouse, stans of the couple went crazy. In true internet culture, a Twitter user thought up a name for a wedding special to be titled “Never Let Migo.” Meanwhile #BET and #VH1 are bout to have a bidding war over who gets to produce #CardiB and #Offsets wedding 😜 Cardi is having the BEST year ever, all thanks to Je-ZUS as she says it 😂💕 #TeaTENDERS via @bardiset.page A post shared by TeaTENDERS_LIV (@teatenders_liv) on Oct 29, 2017 at 12:20am PDT When The Shade Room posted a screenshot of the idea the BET Instagram account commented: “@iamcardib @offsetyrn – #wegotyou when you ready!” “Love and Hip Hop” mastermind, Mona Scott Young, fired back with her own proposal stating: “Love ya @BET but $wegotthis. #anothercheckfrommonascott @vh1 #4evah!” It looks like the two networks are going head-to-head to see who can air the next most anticipated celebrity wedding! Naturally, you would expect the couple to choose VH1 since that’s where Cardi got her big break; however, she left the series because of how the producers were portraying her meaning that there could possibly be bad blood between Cardi and the channel. On the other hand, since this special would be surrounding the couple, it would mean that the rap songstress would be able to play executive producer and have things the way that she wants it so VH1 still has a fighting chance to be chosen. No one even knows if Cardi and Offset even want to air their vows, but if they chose to it would be a brilliant financial move. They could choose for it to be a one-time thing or follow in the footsteps of Keyshia and Gucci and make their own spin-off series.
